Missouri Grief Counseling via Telehealth
Missouri will always hold a special place in my heart. I spent about 21 years there: growing up in Rogersville, attending college in Springfield, and later living and working in St. Louis before moving to Colorado. I cherish days floating the James, Jacks Fork, and Beaver Creek; tubing at the lake with friends; hiking in the Mark Twain National Forest; and riding the coasters at Silver Dollar City.
While I loved many things about rural Missouri, I was saddened to see people I love—especially those from marginalized communities—struggle to find the comfort, safety, and acceptance I often took for granted. When I became a counselor in 2019, I knew I wanted to give back to the place where I grew up by offering that same sense of safety and acceptance to others.
If you’ve had difficulty finding a therapist who will accept you as you are, or if you’ve been afraid to reach out for fear of judgment, I hope you’ll contact me. I specialize in grief counseling not just for losses caused by death, but also grief tied to family disconnection or conflict, childhood trauma, divorce, and the ending of significant relationships. Everyone deserves a place to be seen, heard, and valued. Together we will unpack what’s happening and find a way to move forward.
